Ivan Stanev - cow-bell maker

Born 1944. Craftsman – cow-bell maker.

He learned this craft from his father who used to work at the Etara. Ivan has now been working at the Museum since 1978. He has taken part in exhibitions in Oreshaka and Gabrovo. He has made a number of cow-bells which are still used as musical instruments by famous Bulgarian musicians. He makes cow-bells and other percussion instruments that range over the musical scale.
